Coaching at MPTC
Programme
Monday- 6-7 p.m. Full-court junior coaching (11 and over)
- 7-8 p.m. Adult beginners
- 8-9 p.m. Adult advanced
- 5-6 p.m. Junior club night (6-18 year-olds)
- 4.45-5.45 p.m. Mini Tennis (7-10 year-olds)
- 5-6 p.m. Junior coaching (6-11 year-olds)
One-off events to be arranged between April and July on Saturday mornings, from special training programmes to mini-tennis and full-court tournaments (the latter for adults and juniors) Holiday camps: Easter, summer and autumn.
All coaching is in groups but individual lessons can be arranged.

Schools
We are currently working with Carrington Primary School, Haydn Primary School and St Augustine's.
Simon McBride
Simon (in photo) has 23 years experience teaching juniors and adults, including special squads. He has also trained tennis coaches and specialises in mini-tennis. Simon has been our club coach since 2001.
Qualifications
- LTA level 1, DCA licensed
- PTR uk (Professional Tennis Registry) Academy Pro - highest level offered to date by PTR uk
- PTR professionally rated
- Pro of the year 2003 (PTR uk)
Duncan Burd
Duncan has been a member of the club since 1994 and has won club titles on numerous occasions. He has been coaching at the club since 2012, working with individuals, junior and adult groups and school classes.

Open Day
Held annually, this event provides an opportunity for potential new members to find out more about the club and get some free coaching. Read more...
