1903 Northern part of Mapperley Hall estate released for building.
1904 Future site of club acquired by John Dane Player (cigarette manufacturer).
by 1912 Four grass courts and pavilion used by Mapperley Hall Croquet Club.
1923 MPTC formed by enthusiasts led by Charles Sanderson and Arthur G. Dickins. Two courts.
1925 Land sold to James H. Shipstone (brewer).
by 1932 Private court acquired for club.

1937 Good quality hard court laid, cost £500.
1939 War starts, club stays open, used by servicemen stationed nearby.
1946 Men's and ladies' teams entered in 'temporary' post-war leagues. Influx of members from defunct Victoria LTC, thanks to Jack Britton.
1947 Full Notts leagues restart, MPTC play as Victoria until 1949.
1948 Robert Pullman becomes hon. secretary, held office till 1972.
1950 Ownership of club secured, thanks to president, S. J. Browne.
1952 Men's team runners-up in Division 1.
1954 Fourth court acquired.
1955 Membership rises to 91 when 28 join from defunct Clumber LTC.
1961 Team entered in new Mixed League.
1980 First all-weather courts laid.
1984 Record high of 257 members.
1993 Club newsletter, The Racketeer launched.
1994 New clubhouse opened by Jack Britton.
1998 Floodlights on courts 1 and 2 'opened' by Jeremy Bates.
1999 First club website launched.
2010 Floodlights installed on courts 3 and 4.
2011 Winter and summer Men’s 1st teams runners-up in Division 1.
2012 Winter Men’s 1st team again runners-up in Division 1. Men’s team entered in Derby Area League, finish as champions of Division 6.
2013 Following £50.000 grant from Sport England, new and renewed facilities, including mini court, opened in big event featuring Danny Sapsford and Miles Maclagan.
2014 Cynthia Lindo named Volunteer of the Year at Notts LTA Awards Night. Men's B team moved to Short Format League.
2017 Derby Area League team in Division 1 after fifth succesive promotion. Cardio tennis started.
2018 Episode of TV quiz show Eggheads featuring our team (Creative Deuces) filmed in Glasgow. Broadcast in June 2020.
2019 Pickleball introduced.
